..problems? Anybody ever had any problems with the pivot bushings around a Kuhn or JD hay cutter? I'm referring to the pivot point on the cutter when it's raised up and down - it has a plexi bushing around the metal thats rotates. I have come across a JD cutter (almost identical to Kuhn) where this area of the cutter is wore out - so it has a little "slop" or give when you're cutting - as in the bar isnt as solid as it should be. Apparently the fella was told that he should have replaced the bushings and he didnt know about and it has gotten pretty bad...
sooo.... how much of a chore is this to fix and any idea on cost to fix it right?

It's not hard to replace them... one front and one rear. The plastic bushings are pretty cheap as well.

...thx for the reply... what if its wore to the point the plastic bushings will no longer fit/ do any good?... I havent seen this cutter -- guy thought that the pivot area could be machined to work - or he priced the parts from JD and they were about $500 (not sure what that included...)--its of course a decent deal is the only reason for looking at it
