I got my new thumb from MIE (Michigan Iron & Equipment). Man, does that thing come in handy. Last year I moved a large pile of rocks with my loader and got a lot of dirt mixed in with them. While playing with the thumb, I moved the pile to get rid of the dirt. The thumb will also come in handy for processing firewood.

I also have a M.I.E. thumb and I have to agree, It's great !

I'm glad I did not have to wait long before realizing how valuable it is.

Thumbs Up on the new thumb! Glad to hear you like it. I wouldn't have got a backhoe with out one.
What do you have for feet on your stabalizer feet? wood? I am thinking of putting 3" angle iron on mine to dig in better, but I wouldn't mine the option of having them mark less sometimes with a large surface area especially around the house.

I used a couple of pieces of 2x12 treated lumber on the stabilizer feet. So far they are working out real well. Especially when in the woods where the soil is a bit damp at times.
