Help identify this old disc

I've got the chance to buy this disc for a, presumably, good price. Can anyone out there help me ID it and give a rough idea what it would be worth? It has a ratchet type adjustment in the tongue to change the angle and those two large bars running between each set.

There is one pic that shows a number but my searching didn't help narrow down anything.

Don't recognize that one but before you buy it, realize that for one this old, you could sink a lot of money in it to restore it. The bearings may be shot, and the discs certainly are worn. I restored one recently (bigger than this one) and spent almost $3000 on parts, bearings bearing hangers,discs, etc. So before you buy it, lift it and spin the discs and make sure the bearings are decent, check the shafts for trueness, and closely check the discs. If any of those things are bad, you have some work to do and it can add up. Just a word of warning. Good luck identifying it.

I don't know for sure who made it.
BUT to me it looks and has some characteristics of a vintage Oliver disc harrow.
By any chance do you see any old green paint on it ?

Thanks for the replies all. Yes it does have green paint leftover. Does that confirm your thoughts bullbreaker? Milkman, yes that is the thought to put it to light work. I have a Massey 175 and my current disc is a towner 4' wide offset. It works great, but since it is so narrow, it takes quite a long time and I always have tire tracks. This thing is right on 6' which isn't as wide as I would prefer but should erase most the tracks. Since it isn't quite what I am looking for, I told the people it would have to be a screamin deal for me to buy it but I was interested.

I think I'd hold out for a 7' or better lift disk with some good heavy structure. Your 175 is a capable machine. There are usually a few disks around on Craigslist this time of year.

My .02 is that scrap is about $260 a ton. If you could get it at scrap price it might be worth trying to see if it would meet your needs.

No I"am not sure what brand it is. But by looks and green paint I thought it might be an Oliver. Was trying to give you a starting point in your search for make and model.

I am in agreement on the larger size being ideal. I offered the guy $175 and told him it was probably low cause it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was an offer.
