Came across this aerator on my local C'list. Seller states 3/4 spikes and 8 feet wide. Looks to be well made but pics can be deceiving. Anyone know what brand it is or have any experience with this type. Looks like it may have been modified at some point as well.
Thanks, Bud

I'm not sure of the manufacturer, but it's definitely modified and maybe a home build from various parts. It's a core aerator as those are spoons, not spikes. The actual "spoon-wheels" appear to be from a Ryan, Olathe, or other manufacturer. However, the T-posts aren't used by any manufacturer as raw material. The low mounted lift cylinder is either a post manufacture "fix" or a poor design. That's just asking for a damaged cylinder. All that being said, if the spoons are in good condition or you can at least determine if replacements are available and the $ is right I would buy it and fix what needed to be fixed. The independently mounted "spoon wheels", assuming they still pivot, are a nice feature. It should follow the terrain and that's important, especially since it's 8' wide.
