I just got this Allis Chalmers disc. I think its a 2300. I would like to replace the wheel bearings and seals before I put it into service. I looked at the seal and cant see any part #'s on them. I know the bearings have #'s on them. Anyone have an idea on the seals. It has 15" wheel on it and the rims are rust through and the tires wont hold air, I thought I would replace them but I have no idea what to replace them with

that looks like one of ac's hex shaft disc's.if it is ,the seal and bearings are made together.

Gemplers has a good selection of Ag wheels and an explanation of how to measure them and choose. I just bought a set from them for an old disc.

What size is your disc. I have been looking for one and they are really expensive, and hard to find.

It was originally a 10 ft disk and someone cut it down to 8 ft. I got it at an auction for what I think was a good price. I would like to repaint it this winter, the bearings are good and the disks are good as well. The tires and rims are a different story.

just get yourself a good inside/outside micrometer and measure the hub ID and the axle OD and get one to match. OR just go to a bearing supply and take your old bearings and I would bet they can match upa seal for it based on the bearing

I just went through this and measured the bearing and there are 4 measurements(mine was for the disc shaft bearings), went to my dealer who is a Massey dealer and they had a bearing but wrong size, checked the specs and they crossed referenced(I didn't know the brand of my disc) to an Allis Chalmers part number. They suggested I go to a industrial bearing supplier to buy thinking they might stock it. The price was $90+ and would have to be ordered. Went back to my dealer and they ordered it for me for I think about $35 each.
