I spent some time this evening trying to set up a drag harrow on the back of myTSC carry all. Well it did work out very well at all. I took it for a test spin. The darn thing digs in a the front. I adjusted top link but things did really go any better.

Useally I'd look where to improve on a design, I'm looking to start over I think.

Oh well, better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all.

It sure looks like it should work. The top link will have to be set especially long to keep the pipe from digging in. The pipe should be barely skimming the soil. You may even need a longer top link.

Did you lower the 3PH all the way or was it set to float a bit above the ground? Try that and see what happens.

Can't tell from the photos but are the lower arms of the carry-all attached firmly to the drag? Maybe securing the arms at several points with bailing wire would make a difference.

I agree. I'm no expert on stuff like that but it looks like it just needs some adjustment to work perfectly.

May just add some short chains from the carry-all to the drag. Here is a pic of mine $900 bucks from armstrongag.,they have it in 3point but then couldnt use the truck

You should have seen my first drag I made its actually right were I pulled it and left it, still mow around it,the grass is really good were it lays.I told myself its time to scrap:laughing:

I did make one that works pretty good but its to pull around on the 4wheeler,call it the TURD BUSTER

They work good as a tire buster too, if you leave them upside down..

I think if you look you will see the common thing with all of them and that is a flexible chain at the pull point which allows the pipe to ride up a bit but still contact the ground.
If you will put in about 4 feet of pull chain and attach to each side of your pipe, then I think it will work. It will maybe work better if it comes to a V in front with a single hookup point but dual hook up point should work also. It just needs some flexibility at the pipe and not a heavy load on it.

Heck I think you may be pulling it backward. Try it with the pipe bringing up the rear and attach your pull chains directly to the spike tooth harrow. I think that will smooth things out nicely. Just have a few chain links between the harrow and the pipe so it can flex as needed.
