I purchased a Deutz 3006 tractor and the guy handed me the tow hitch and said the bolt had came out of it. I have looked at a parts manual for the tractor and it doesn't show it. Im going to attach a picture that will show where the pin goes and it looks like there is a place for a bolt and maybe a pin to go thru the bolt. Before I order one I want to make sure I get the right thing.

The pictures show the tow hitch in its place.

Ok I have found out that this is a draw bar pin. To order one that came on my tractor will cost me 48.00 and this includes shipping so I'm going to try and make one before I pay that.

It looks like I will need to measure the dia. of the hole and find a bolt that will measure that dia and then stick it up thru the Draw Bar until it bottoms out then with a sharpie mark the location where the pin goes thru. Take and cut the bolt to that length and then drill the hole thru the bolt for a pin. Is this it or is there something I'm missing about a pin that I have never seen. Thanks Rick

Forget all that drilling. Just get a CAT 1 lift pin and cut it to length. It already has the hole in it. If CAT 1 don't fit try another CAT size.

Yep I saw them at tsc and going measure the whole to see what size. I couldn't believe the pin was 30.00 and shipping was 18.00

Not going to pay that. My post above ment to saying saw the bolts with the holes in them at tsc. That will keep me from paying the 48.00 dollars for one

Yea I copied that. In general just hate to see anybody pay that when there's a cheap easy solution available.

Did the cat 1 work?

I think one of the cat. Pins will. Have to wait until I can get back down to the farm and measure the dia. Of hole. Daughter is graduating high school this weekend so I will be cooking BBQ for her party. Will post when I find out. Rick
