My father has an antique 16 disc Van Brunt of Horicon, WI drill that he is looking to sell. We have no idea of the value and are looking for a reasonable price to try to sell it at. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

I paid $275 for a pair of old Minneapolis Moline P3-6 drills a few years ago from a neighbor. Was able to tow them home OK, but both were pretty rusted and needed a lot of restoration. Used parts from both to make one good drill to seed my hayfield (Kanota oats).

Some people will pay $500 or more for an "antique" and use it as a lawn ornament. In fact, one of those drills I bought is serving that purpose now.

Doesn't that pretty antique look strange hooked up to a complact utility tractor with ROPS and FEL? Seems like it ought to be hooked up to a vintage JD or Farmall.

BTW, I grew up in Chico, and we farmed several parcels on the east side of the river in southern Tehama Co. in the late '50s and early 60's. The countryside in your photos looks familiar.
