I am trying to replace some brocken Tine Springs on a Sitrex HM-300 tedder, specifically the springs are ment to tilt up the tines when the tedder is not working to prevent damage to the tines.
My question is what the proper procedure is? does the whole assembly need to be taken appart or can they simply be poped on somehow? Special tools?

Thanks,

Are you replacing the big yellow tine/spring, or the smaller one that sits on the shaft?
If the smaller one, it looks like there is a rollpin that you would pop out to slide that shaft out.

Yes I am trying to replace the small spring so removing the roll pin makes sense. would you usually just pull it out with pliers or punch it through with a punch and hammer?

Yes :D (it depends on how much of the pin there is to grab onto).
Yours, I would grab with a pair of visegrips then smack the visegrips with a hammer to get the pin out.
