Moultrie Boomless Sprayer Review?

Good Afternoon,
I'm looking at boomed or boomless sprayers and notice that the Moultrie 25 gallon boomless is significantly cheaper than the Fimco, CountryLine, etc brands carried by TSC, Agri-Supply, Northern tool, etc.

The quality doesn't look much different. However, I'm not finding many reviews. So far, a search of this forum just turns up Moultrie game cameras.
So does anyone have one of these sprayers or comparative thoughts on GPM, PSI, etc. I have approx 5-10 acres of pasture to srap a few times a year.

I am of no help on that brand -- I've owned Fimco, Countyline, and another brand from Southern States whose name now escapes me. My impression is that there isn't much difference in quality across brands. I would recommend at least a 2 GPM flow rate.

Just curious if you plan on spraying the entire acreage or just spot spraying. If the former, you need to think about buying a sprayer with a boom. Spraying the entire acreage with just a wand is going to take a long, long time.

Thanks for the response. I've got the FIMCO 15 gallon spot sprayer and have experienced the pain of spot spraying; that is why I want to move up to a swath sprayer - either boomed or boomless. Not sure of the pros/cons of either. Knowing me, I'd tear a boom off on a gate or fence. The Moultrie boomless advertises a 10' swath. Seems a little wider than the other brands at a couple hundred less.

I own one. I found the boomless nozzles to cover erraticaly. I also found it somewhat difficult to maintain a constant speed on the four wheeler which caused erratic coverage. My ground was a bit unlevel and bumpy though. For 5-10 acres you will need multiple fill ups. I tried doing 3-5 acres and it took some time. The pump seems to be fine. I would go for a boomed version for better coverage. The wand performed just fine.

Thanks for all of the responses. Right now I'm leaning towards the Northern Tool one:

It is $100-150 more but still decently priced compared to some others and has 5.5gpm pump and 40' swath - highest numbers I've seen on any of them. It also has some decent reviews. Even if the coverage is only half of what they advertise, it would still be twice that of the Moultrie.

Don't bother. You may as well spend a little more money and get something that works. The spray nozzle on the Moultrie boomless sprayer doesn't atomize spray particles enough to get a good complete coverage/burndown of weeds. I use this product on about 4-5 acres of foodplots for wildlife.

I have tried everything including turning up the pressure on the pump and can't get satisfactory performance. This was my 3rd year using this product and i can confidently say that i am done. Just buy a more expensive boom sprayer and go on with it.

My neighbor (a farmer) and the sprayer guy I bought my sprayer from, both told me the same thing Tmccullough said, stay away from boomless nozzles
So far I am very happy with my sprayer nozzles.
And my 6 acre lawn never looked so good

Northern tool discontinued that model and I picked one of them up for $179.00.

You wouldn't have digital copy of the manual? I have the paper one, but the digital one would make a nice backup.
