Has anyone had any experience with Ford implements? I don't know anything about them, except we once owned a 6' sickle bar attachment. Is this a piece made by another manufacturer and sold by Ford? I am looking at a used PHD with a 9" auger, shear pin set up. The price is not real attractive, but it looks like a rugged unit, and we have real boney soil. Your experience with Ford attachments or the PHD in particular would be valuable to hear. Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't have any experience with the Ford post hole digger, but I do have 2 other Ford implements, a very heavy Ford "York Type Rake" that is easily as heavy duty as the top of the line York, and a Ford rear snow blower that I would say is mid duty. Both have been good and parts are easy to come by.

RockFarmer.. when I bought my TC35D w/ SS in 2000.. I also bought the 17LA FEL w/ HD Bucket, 72" RFM, 72" Tiller, and PHD.. all Ford/New Holland. I've never had any major problems w/ any of these implements.. all are in great working condition.. I'm a little over 700 hours on the tractor. The PHD works great.. I've gone through some shear bolts because of roots.. the soil here is red clay w/ rocks. The PHD will dig down to the 3 1/2 to 4 ft level pretty fast in clean soil.. and does a good job in the hard clay. I'm still in the process of fencing.. but I've run out of posts for right now.
