I have a MF 1230 Compact tractor equipped with a MF1231 mid mount mover deck. I bought both new. I hadn't used the mower deck for 4 years and when I remounted it and was readying it for use (i.e. adjusting and lubing) I discovered that the belt was completely gone. Have no idea how that happened as it was there and working fine when I took the deck off and stored it. Guess some animal ate it up or something. Anyway, now for the problem I need help with. I do not have a diagram of the threading for the belt and have no idea how it should be installed. I went to a dealer and and got a new belt and they provided me with a copy of the threading diagram from their book HOWEVER, it is completely wrong. The pulleys are not in the same location as the diagram shows. When I told them they said that was the way it was supposed to be and couldn't help any further. SO, does anyone out there have the 1231 mower deck and would be able to help me with getting the belt threaded correctly. Thank you.
