Bought some implements and have some questions.......
Hello all, I'm hoping with all the great minds on here that someone can help me with some of the attachments I bought today. First thing is a John deere two row 25B planter, it needs some tlc but should clean up. Any way the problem is I know nothing about this planter and can't seem to find much online, hoping someone here can shed some light on the workings of the planter and if parts are still available. Tried to download manual on JD site but the link is messed up. Second is a Blanton 20 disc box frame harrow, it seems really heavy made but never heard of the company. Third and last is a 42 inch brush mower I bought for my sons Kubota B7100. When I got it home I noticed that its pto yoke is 18 spline and after looking around on the net come to find out it was probably on a Satoh tractor cause the cutting edge on the blades is backwards. Its for a CCW pto drive. There is no labels on the mower so I dont know who made it only that its blue. Question is can I convert it to work on his tractor (CW pto) by changing the yoke, and blades. Any help on any of the above questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re brush cutter: Turning the blades over won't work, this would put the bevel of the cutting edge facing down. I think it would ball up the material and not cut very well. You might find a double edged blade that fits, these are used on hydraulic driven cutters so you can reverse the hoses when one side gets worn. Another option is take the top plate of the gearbox off and see how the input shaft & pinion gear is mounted. If you can put the pinion gear at the opposite end of the shaft this would change the rotation. I would think you should be able to find a different yoke or PTO shaft to work.

Re: Bought some implements and have some questions.......
The yoke on the mower can be changed I have already done it, and the gearbox doesnt seem to mind which way its turned to operate. Looking at finding the corrrect blades, I have found some that are pretty close to what should work. Was just wondering if there was anything else that should concern me about doing this. Thanks. Also I found the parts book on ebay for planter thanks. But would like to hear from someone who has had or does have this model planter. Thanks for the comments everyone, and anyone else who has any info please let me hear it. Thanks

What are the sides made of. Sheet metal bent over or I-Beam? If "I " beam and blue, probably a King Kutter. I have one that is blue. Before they started the yellow paint. You can down load their manuals on line...
A picture of the equipment might help out. Someone may ID something by looking at it.
