question about 3 pt hitch backhoe
I have a 40 hp 4x4 tractor (farm pro) it does not have a front end loader on it. does anyone know if a 3 pt hitch back hoe would work ok on the tractor. I do not know anything about these type of backhoe. I do not need a front end loader and do not want to tie the tractor up with anything permently mounted to it.

Might have issues with the front of your tractor moving a lot while digging without the loader as well as a very light front end. The 3ph backhoes tend to stick way out and ruin your capability to traverse rough areas because of it. You'd probably be better off trying to find 1 that is quick attach with bolt on frame mounts. The bolt on also won't have the tendency to sway when traveling like a 3ph will.

Working to increase the scope of the small tractor experience, one quick attach at a time.
