Ranch chipper questions please

Im considering a chipper from the ranchsupply company

Anyone have an recomendations or opinions on the chippers?

Also it seems like they do some work on them before sales.
drum feed
roller feed and grease fittings so i assume they are good inprovements over the original factory,?

They take up a lot of acreage when assembled, and that's inconvenient for shippers. So they arrive in this country - partially disassembled - in steel crates. Depending upon the dealer, you may buy your chipper assembled and serviced - or still in the steel crate. Either way, it's a no-brainer for either dealer or owner to service the thing as part of the assembly process. I went the crate route. Not only did it save money up front, but it helped me learn more about the machine than if I'd bought one that was "ready to work".

Im not sure what they mean by new better feed rollers. Do they change them out?
Also they seem to be very similiar to this one

Interesting in this ebay one is the pictures ,some have the yellow tube protectors around the inlet , Its pictured in some pics and not in the others.

I have heard mixed reviews about the Jinma chippers. They seem to be OK when properly setup and prepped, whereby prep it means the dealer might have to fix some defects and upgrade some parts. And the price is hard to beat. But I just couldn't go for one myself.

Yeah, dealers face that problem too. What they receive doesn't always look like what they ordered. I paid $1500 for mine by the way, so that one on eBay isn't truly "free shipping". I suggest you select a few retailers, and ask for photos and info specific to the models they currently have in stock. Because the next batch they get might be different.

Dunno .... but I can tell ya that the feed rollers on mine - which was purchased 5 years (?) or so ago weren't the greatest - they had a tendency to shred .... rather than feed .... although that may be due to needing to correctly set the clearance on the anvil, or just needing the knives sharpened.

Improving the feed rollers is one (of many) of my round tuit projects .... along with some other mods for the chipper.

Oh yes I know there is truly no "free' shipping its somehow figured into ther price.It is more how much less of a potential profit the seller chooses to take.
Im also looking at another 'item' that says free shipping, and I had a question ,and called the company, who were quick to answer the phone, and very good at answering my questions. This item was also listed as free delivery. But she continued on to look up how much the shipping would be (I assume she wasnt aware that it was advertised as free).
She quoted me 139 dollars.Now this item I ahve been watching for over a year, and the 'regular' price had just that exact amount figured into it.I believe that the older description of delivery included doesnt have the same meaning as free. In other words we know the shipping is being part of the price but we like to see free as opposed to included.On One hand we feel good ,like we are getting a free lunch, yet we could also feel insulted that they would think we arent that smart to know that the truck company isnt doing it under it good free will.
All and all its the bottom line..
