link/video TripleR noted, for PTO shafts, is as good as you will get and covers it all.

Picked up the tiller this morning. PTO shaft will have to be shortened. Got the tiller all hooked up, have not cut pto shaft yet. Trying to decide if i should wait and purchase Pat's quick hitch first. Then do the cutting. Or the HB quick connect. ( quick hitch )

Any opinions.............

can you get find lower lift arms. that are telescopic, and have a C hook and then a flap? vs hole you put pins through? prefer the telescopic lift arms. that normally replace the original arms completely.

going different route.... do you really need a quick hitch or like? and just deal with dozen or two dozen times a year switch things out. and just deal with what tractor has?

you can buy a PTO shaft extension. if shaft ends up to short. if you later decided to get a quick hitch or like.

I just ordered an RTR1558 tiller. My dealer said it weighs 490 pounds. I'm getting an I-Match quick hitch because I will put the tiller on way too many times to count in a years time.

And besides, it's just too heavy to be wrestling with.

others better off answering. a quick google search in attempt to find something. only resulted in small little pictures you could hardly tell what was what. i remember seeing on most of the manufacture websites a year or 2 ago. with a "build your own tractor" thing. that some of the various models offered telescopic lift arms. while other models did not. you might see about contacting your local dealer. and see if they already make something for your tractor. or if you might be able to match something up from another tractor to fit yours.

i know they are out there. due to when grand parents/great grand parents owned the farm. the tractors they had, here, had them. and it was awesome. to just undo a pin. pull arm out, and undo latch for the clamp. and just pull out and lift up. and re-latch clamp. and then back up with tractor and/or lift implement and lock lower arms into place. and you did not end up pushing implement backwards, or back and forth in attempt to drag it via only one arm connected. to get other side connected. or needed a 7 feet pry bar with a cheater bar on it, and block. to move implements to get them connected.

i want to say, at one time pat's easy change had a telescopic option, that ya cut lift arms down on tractor and then welded on or perhaps it was a nock off. it has been so long ago, i honestly no longer remember.

If you are thinking of getting a Quick Hitch for the 3PH, now (before you cut the drive line) would be the time to do it .... ;)
