$6.99 flat rate shipping ????
That's what I first thought, but read on.
Not on a freight shipped item. Shipping is a little less than $100 to my area.
Yep. The last line from the "bullet" list, in the description: "Overweight Item subject to $89.95 additional Freight Charge"

I have this Chicago Elrctric PTO generator. I bought it off of Ebay for $800 with 2.5 hours on the clock. The generator is compact and well built. I use a Kubota L4240 with 35HP at the PTO to run it. Just set the RPM's till the voltage gets to 240V and 60Hz and let it be. There is very little change in voltage when central AC kicks on and off. We have not had a long power outage since I got the unit so I have only used it a few hours for testing. The unit was underwater for a few days during a flood and it still works as it should. Let me know if you have any questions.

I will br using my L4400 and I will test it with the BX1500 even though it will likely only supply maybe 6500 watts.

Still a good price even with the shipping. High on my want (need) list, but I have to finish Whats-Her-Names kitchen remodel before I can invest in one. For sure that would do everything I need, and then some since we heat with wood anyway.

Curious if anyone has found a cupon code that would work when ordering? I noticed our store will no longer take a 20% off coupon on alot of the bigger ticket items (like gas powered generators).

the NT unit is not a chinese unit. The gen head is a MEC Alte (italian) and the control/power box is setup by Northstar in MN.

my NT has chinese writing all over it.. stickers inside with chinese characters.

the instruction manual has chinese stuff in the back.

COO says china.

I guess that's all incorrect then.. right?

remember.. the build date on mine will likely be 2003....

In addition the HF unit has a gen head with brushes. This is what you do not want. Most quality gen heads are brushless which equals clean power.
