I would really like to have a Wallenstein but I found a used dr chipper. It is a older unit. Are they self feeding like the Wallenstein or do you have to push it through? I attached a picture.
I went and looked at this one it was in pretty good condition but could use a belt. It was really small and not a self feeding model. I was about the size of the chippers that lowes sell except pto driven.I have the tow behind model, it is self feeding.
This one had sharp knives on it but I did not see a anvil. What is a anvil?With a sharp knife and properly spaced anvil it will self feed, provided that what you are chipping doesn't offer much resistance. A branch with lots of green leaves or stiff branches off the main limb will require you to squeeze it into the chute.
