Was that an accessory to your subsoiler, or is that something you made?

It is a John Deere implement, I bought it at an antique tractor show as is, it is 36" wide at the widest point. I have been told that it is actually a ditcher for making irrigation ditches. If that is true or what it was actually designed for I do not know.:confused3: What I do know is that it is THE fastest thing to use to dig a trench on our property as long as you don't need to go deeper than 20". We have a CASE 580 TLB and a Parsons chain trencher, they don't hold a candle to how fast the ditcher works for that depth of trench.

Look at the bottom of this subsoiler plow, this opens up a small tunnel if you will that leaves a space for a tubing to be pulled in behind the plow.

That's slick.

Talk with a contractor who installs Cable TV or telephone...they plow wire all the time.

Just to show some of you what can be done IF the soil is right. One pass 10" wide x 18"-20" deep.

That's nice.

I can't find any right now for sale. I can find threads where people have made them though. Most are a subsoiler with a 1.5" id pipe bent to lay it behind and welded or bolted to the subsoiler shank.

I found a few home made ones here on the forum and on the web. Found one premade one on ebay. I'll keep searching to see what else is out there.

Sounds like you purchased what I might be looking for , I have not been able to find any subsoiler in my local TSC that goes that deep, but they probably will ship it to the local store , do you have a part number for that "subsoiler manufactured by Behlen Country at TSC" . TSCs number on the recipt is: 2128333. I will look at the subsoiler and post if it has any additional info.

It says Behlen Country Subsoiler for TSC on the unit with Countryline label also. Hope this helps you.

I was told by an employee at the local store that stores west of the Mississippi get King Kutter implements (which is what my subsoiler is) and those east of it get some other manufacturer whose name I promptly forgot.

Well I think I have it figured out , or hope I do anyway. Started out with me needing to pull a short amount of pipe to connect my well to the water line. The existing pipe is 18" deep and so I went looking for a way to bury some pipe 18". Seems that a subsoiler is supposed to be able to do the job and I might use it for a lot of other things and pulling or wires ,pipes etc. Most subsoilers that I found only go down to 14" and I needed to go 18". Northern Tool has a subsoiler "Hawkline by Behlin" that goes 22" and I thought perfect , except that there is not a Northern Tool closer then 98 miles from me and the shipping cost is $110 + the $220 for the subsoiler. After searching the TractorByNet forums I found this gem. sdkubota -"Purchased a subsoiler manufactured by Behlin Country at TSC for $159 today. Seems to be extremely well made and has a long heavy shank. Due to its length, my Kubota L3400 only lifts it 3" off the ground when the 3PH is all the way up although the counter point is it digs to like 19" deep. I will be loosening up some very hard packed clay areas I plan on doing some dirt moving in." Sounded perfect. I checked the TSC but the subsoiler they listed was only good for 14" and looks like it was made by KingKutter. I checked out Behlin and they are in the news for buying out Hawkline and the new catalogue shows the newer subsoiler to only go to 14" also. But I am given hope that since sdkubota got a "Hawkline" type subsoiler from TSC I might call around and see if I can pick up one . The Hawkline listed in Northern Tools seems to be more versatile then the KK subsoiler . Hoping that I can get Behlin made subsoiler that goes deeper then 14" shipped to my local store and pick it up for less then $200, that's the goal anyway.
