Travis,

I got one of the King Kutter 6 Ft. Standard units and some of the Reverse units on the lot, but they are going quick. I have some of them assembled and ready to be put to work. The standard unit is still created. It's not that far for you to come by and pick up a unit. I have a lot of customers come by from LA and purchase things.

Here is the link for the 6ft. unit to check the current price.

Here is the link for the 6Ft. Reverse unit.

If you want to purchase on I can set it up on the site to change the shipping as to Pick Up At Location. If you want to purchase it online and come by and pick it up feel free to call me and I will change something so the site will not try to charge you shipping. If you purchase it on-line you will get 358 bonus points on your purchase that can be converted to a gift certificate of around $35.00 towards a future purchase. Also, purchase it on line, come by and pick it up and take it home and make a video of actually using the item of 1 min. or longer and email me that video or mail me the SDHC card with the video and I will credit you another $40.00 back for the video.

Call me if interested because this a vary limited offer. Call me for details.
Thanks,
Bruce McGee

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks

I been calling dealers all morning. Getting prices from $1775 to 3,000. Brands from Kodiak, King Kutter, Bush Hog, Woods, Anslung, Howse, and Taylor Pittsburgh.

Im interested in the King Kutter and Kodiak. I have also decided that i'm going with a 6 foot.

I just checked my area TSC store....$1750 for the 6' king kutter. Just so your aware, some people complain about the paint quality on the king kutter. Mine is the Belhen version and I have no complaints of the paint as of yet.

the 5 foot tiller i had was around 1200 thats was in 1992 or 1993 so 1750 is not that bad for todays prices of stuff and that 5 footer was from tsc oh i talked to manager about another attachmant that was sitting for awhile they took off alot

I have narrowed it down to 2 different tillers. Im either gonna buy a 6' Kodiak or a 6' King Kutter. I'm leaning more towards the Kodiak, because of price. But i dont know anything about Kodiak implements. Never owned this brand before. Are the tillers any good? Is it a good company that will stand behind their product?

How does the Kodiak compare to the King Kutter as far as performance, durability, and parts support?

Looks like i will be buying within the next week if i can get a good deal.

Thanks,
Travis

I considered getting a reverse rotation tiller however when I checked into how they work it seems they tend to bury rocks and leave the surface looking good. I want to pick out the rocks to improve the soil and avoid hittting them again and again. The forwaard drive models allow you to hold the back guard up and allow the rocks to blow out the back and stay on the surface. I have a Nardi (Italian built) It has served me well. It cost around $1800. It has a chain drive and has been through some pretty rough rocky use and except for a few dents the tines show no wear and it works well.

I am not sold on a reverse rotation tiller, from what i have read. Seems like it puts more "strain" on the tractor and implement. Especially if the tractor's pto hp is borderline for the minimum operation of the tiller.

As of right now i will be buying a new tiller either next Friday or Saturday. Gonna be a very long week for me to wait! Just not quite sure where i'll be getting it from just yet.

Don't worry about reverse or forward rotation.....in terms of the tractor. I've owned both.

Both have advantages and drawbacks

I've had more rocks buried by my forward tine tiller, than I ever had with the reverse tine. For rock removal, I'll choose a reverse tine any day of the week. The bad part is that my old reverse tine was belt drive, and it would throw rocks into the belt. Thus breaking that 125 dollar belt in a heartbeat.

In very soft ground, a reverse tine may not do so well.............but other than that...............it will be a fantastic attachment.

EDIT: I could go into a lot more detail, which would clutter the thread................but for my ground....................A reverse tine tiller can't be beat.
