I have a JD 2305 with hydraulic lift for the deck. I was told at the dealership that the deck wheels should not contact the ground in normal mowing.

My question has to do with adjustments so that the deck wheels will contact the garage floor at the same time when lowered. Right now, they each touch at a different time when lowered, so it seems to me that the deck is not level.

Do you make adjustments to the front attachment mechanism which is a large u-bolt?

Also, it seems to me that the depth setting of each wheel should be the same. Right now, the front deck wheels are set up higher than the trailing deck wheels.

Thanks for any insight that you have.

I don't have a 2305, but in general for a three bladed deck:
Make sure tire pressures are correct.
Set the cut height to the most used position and lower the deck to that setting.
Set deck level side to side by adjusting the side lift links as needed (ckeck level at the blade tips, with the blades turned straight to the side -JD dealers sell a plastic gage that makes these measurements much easier).
Turn blades 90 degrees. so they face straight front to back, then measure deck tilt front to back (at blade tips). Front tip of the center blade should be 1/4" to 3/8" lower than the rear tips of the side blades - adjust as needed using the front hanger (big U bolt),
The gage wheels should then be set so that they clear the concrete by about a 1/4".
