Massey Ferguson model 62 moldboard plow bolt question
Question for anyone that works on moldboard plows. I am replacing the shares on my Massey Ferguson model 62. I got them from Powell equipment. The bolts i got with the shares fit great. I am also replacing some of the other actual bolts that are on the moldboard, because they were so rusted i had to have them cut off. I have bought some bolts from tractor supply, a local metal shop and john deere dealer. The bolt heads just do not seem to sit flush with the moldboard when tightened down and they are always a little higher. I do not think they will effect the digging ablitity and i think they will wear down in time. Does anyone know if it will hurt to grind the bolt heads down so they are flush with the moldboard.
