'm looking for a tool to clear roots and grass clods in preparation of an old yard for new seeding. Is a landscape rake the tool I'm looking for? Anybody know anything about atiattachments.com? Any recommendations appreciated.
Thanks

A landscape rake will not do much with roots of any size, the tines are spring steel. It will remove grass. You are going to want a pretty good rake to hold that DK45. I have a woods LR72. I had it for the 8n. It bent under normal use raking the driveway. I think something like a woods LR700 should be good for your tractor. Everything Attachments also has a nice looking rake.

You might want to look at the Ratchet Rake. It will scrape to bare soil pretty well without removing much of the soil

Roots? I hope your asking about grass and weed roots.

Prep for grass seeding.
Spray generous amounts of Weed Killer, wait for it to work and wait for at least One heavy rain.
Then lightly disk or rototill about an inch or two deep a couple of times to help keep weeds out and mix things up.
After about a month or two or at least 3 heavy rains the weed killer should have stabilized and you are ready to spread seed.
After seeding, spreading a light layer of pine needles or clean weed free grass clippings as a cover, helps allot to retain moisture and keep seeds from washing or being blown away.

Hope that helps, might I suggest you cobble together your plan from previous and future responses. Many ideas are better than one.
