I've got my Kubota B3030 HSCC for sale. I have an interested party, but he's got a BH77 that neither of us knows will work on the tractor or not. Maybe Ductape or someone experienced with these models can give an idea of what will go on the cabbed model? He tried to contact a dealer, but they're closed for the holiday.
Thanks guys!

Can't say for sure, but I would certainly guess that he would be able to use his BH77 with Kubota's subframe for the B3000. I'm sure someone here will be able to say definitively as to whether or not the bolt pattern is the same between his 77 and whatever the most current model backhoe that Kubota is putting on the B3000.

Maybe Neil Messick will happen along sometime and enlighten me. For some reason (maybe past read here) I'm thinking that it won't work with the cab. I dug up an old thread where a BH 80X was used with a cabbed 3030, but not much else.

Kubota never offered a hoe on the cabbed B3030 until the model number change to the B3000, at which time they started offering the Kubota hoe on the cabbed tractors. Unfortunately, I'm not that knowledgable on the Kubota factory hoes..... so I don't know what model they are offering on the cabbed B3000. In any event, I'm sure the only difference between the cabbed 3030 / 3000 hoe and any of the subframes on non-cabbed tractors is the length of the backhoe side of the subframe..... just like the Woods subframe (the portion of the subframe under the tractor is identical).

Have you tried the 'build my Kubota' on the Kubota site to see what the model number is of the current hoe offered on the cabbed B3000 ? I'm willing to bet $5 his hoe will fit as long as he uses Kubota's subframe for the B3000.

I did try that. All it said was 7.7' backhoe or some such. No model number.
I continued to poke around some old threads. A poster had an issue back in 2010 where he was trying to find out if he could add a cab to his 3030 and BH77. He said that he got different answers from different dealers but that Steve Barlow told him a 77 wouldn't work with a factory cab on a 3030. That's the most credible answer I've dug up so far. Not looking good for a sale to this particular guy.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't necessarily trust the first answer I got from the average salesman. If kubota is putting their latest hoe on the cabbed B3000, and it has had a model number change from the previous model ( i know they changed the model number on them when they started adding their mechanical thumb), the average sales guy isn't going to know the mounting pattern is the same between the two because all he looks at is what is listed in Kubota's wholegoods list. I'm really quite confident it will fit with the current cabbed B3000 subframe.

How about this option......... take a reasonable deposit from the buyer on the condition that if his hoe won't fit on the B3000 subframe, you will return his deposit? Seems fair to me.

The person lives 65 - 70 miles from me so he wants to be sure before he makes the drive to look at the tractor. Can't say that I blame him for that.
Looking through those old posts, and with Barlow's reputation here, I'd probably tend to believe what Steve Barlow says. But on the bright side, another person who only lives about 4 miles from me is showing some interest and may come see it today.

I have a B3000HSDCC (cab) with a BH77 backhoe. The backhoe sits on a short frame extension that moves it back about a foot to clear the cab. I can shoot a photo if you'd like but the BH is off at the moment. The frame extension can be seen either way.

Thanks radair. Just wondering if there are any dimension or bolt hole pattern changes between the 3000 and the 3030 that would negate the 77 being attached to the 3030? I guess that's the $64 dollar question that I have yet to find an answer for.

There won't be any difference in the hoe itself, it will be in the specific subframe to fit the cabbed B3000, which will bolt to the B3030 since they are the same tractor. Go ahead and sell your tractor. :)
