King Kutter - Awesome Customer Service
Just wanted to pass this along to everyone. I lost a spring on the slip clutch that came with my King Kutter tiller. I wanted to get an exact match for a replacement, so I contacted King Kutter for advice on where to find the same one. They connected me with their parts department. The guy in parts tells me that all of the slip clutches they use have the same spring. I explained that I'd been looking around and found many similar springs, but not sure they are the same - I didn't want one different one giving me unequal pressure on the clutch plates. He takes my address and says he'll see if he can get me one. It's been one week and I just got a package from King Kutter with 3 new springs - no charge. How awesome is that?
When I was looking at tillers, I had also contacted them to ask a couple of questions. They promptly returned my calls and spoke with me about the tiller. Anybody out there thinking about a King Kutter tiller, I can't say enough good about it. And with customer service like they have shown, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them a bit.
By the way, I also have a blade and a rake from them. I didn't feel I needed top of the line units for these, so I went with KK. I did get the Professional Series for all three implements, and let me tell you - they are extremely heavy duty. No issue at all with build quality. Paint may not be up to Land Pride's standards, but I paid half of their price for an implement that is of equal or better quality.
Thanks King Kutter!

Re: King Kutter - Awesome Customer Service
I had good luck with them several years ago when I had an idler pulley go bad on a rear finish mower. I called, they came up with the part number right away. I gave them the credit card info and the part was on my doorstep in 3 days. The lawn didn't get away from me for having a mower down for a lengthy time.

The Pro-Series stuff on KK w/site to me look well built, but just a question(s). Every TSC I've ever visited did not ever have at that time Pro-Series attachments. Have you been purchaseing them at TSC or other places. Also did you have to special order , or they had them already in stock ?

Re: King Kutter - Awesome Customer Service
I bought my pro series rear blade at TSC. I stumbled onto the pro series on the KK website (before they updated their site) and was surprised that they actually have 4 lines of implements: Sub-Cut & Regular, which TSC always seems to stock, and Professional and Heavy Duty, which I have only seen in the KK catalog if I went looking for it. The manager at TSC gave me a good deal on the blade, so I was a very satisfied customer.
I'll pile on with praise for their customer service. I broke a tine on my KKII tiller and ordered a replacement set. They arrived in just 3 or 4 days after I placed the order, which surprised me because the box contained 6 tiller tines with bolts and nuts for each and weight around 20 lbs. That's the problem with trouble.
It always starts out as such fun."
