I purchased a Speeco Cat 1 Quick Hitch. How do I use the top link quick hitch adapter on attachments that are not quick hitch adaptable ? Do I remove the top hook from the quick hitch ???? I guess it is an age thing, I can't figure out how to use it !!!!!

If you have to remove the center hook from the quick hitch to use it you are better off not using it at all imo. If possible would be better served to modify the implement to accept the hook portion of the hitch. Also remember that some implements like rotary cutters that do not have a floating hitch you can easily damage when using a quick hitch as you drive in and out of a draw the unit can not float up then damaging lift arms. Answer there is using chains to the back of the unit instead of staight arms.

There is an adapter that goes to that QH for those implements. You remove the hook and use the adapter. Where ever you bought the QH should be able to order the adapter. I got mine from harbor freight.

Iam with ctlguy, I got frustrated real quick with that adapter and had adapters welded up to modify all of my top link brackets on the equipment that was not Q/H type. It is really a pleasure to just drop off one implement and back up to another and Q/H up to it.
