New member here. We have a 3-acre pond. I want to mow the most level and shallow edges of the pond--not the dam--with a sickle bar mower. This includes mowing the reeds, etc., that grow in the edge of the water. We have a Kubota L3800 tractor. I have done some research on the Internet and am consulting with a couple of dealers. I have pretty much decided on a 7' mower with hydraulic lift. The brands I have seen include Befco, Farm Maxx, New Holland, and Feraboli (which seems to be the same as the Farm Maxx sold under a different name). I would appreciate any feedback, suggestions, etc., about my application, choice of brand,etc. Thanks.
