Hi,
I'm looking to buy a disc for my tractor. I found one at an auction that seems perfect for me.

The problem is I have never seen this type of hookup (I'm a rookie when it comes to farm equipment). It is a straight bar that comes out with a 1/2 of an arrow ior saw tooth shape on the top. It looks like it should slide into some type of sleeve and something would be put behind the raised part to lock it in. I'm guessing there is something that would mount to the 3 point hitch to accept this.

Is this something that I could easily find? And any idea on cost? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I foolishly didn't take a picture.
The best I can describe it is it has about a 2"x1/2" piece of flat metal that is about 2' long +- on the top surface it has a triangle shape that it appears something would lock behind.

fast hitch.jpgSounds like an International Harvester (farmall) fast hitch. It was their try at hooking implements to the back of the tractor instead of a 3 point hitch. You could probably convert the disk to 3 point.

In order to use the fast hitch disk on a tractor with a 3 point hitch you will need some sort of adapter. I am no expert on this. I don't know if you can buy any thing like that. I guess you could have one made. Most of the time you see or read about people trying to change a tractor with the fast hitch to accept 3 point equipment not the opposite like you are trying to do put a fast hitch implement on a 3 point tractor. The easiest thing to do might be as SD suggested to cut the fast hitch spear off the disk and change it to a 3 point setup.
