48" Grapple, Which One???

I like my Wild Kat grapple. It does not have grease fittings. When I bought in January it was by far the best value for me. Even if the top tube fails at some point I can have it fixed and still be money ahead. Now if there has been a major price increase it may no longer be the best value. After having a grapple I can give you one piece of advice any grapple is better than no grapple:)

AGREED!! Yes my top tube just bent from carrying 12-14' logs longways but hey it was never designed to do that. Some 3" angle iron, 2 hours of my time and a few more braces and were good to go. IMHO at $700 it would still be a good value, anything above that I would have to reconsider. CJ

I placed my order today for the 48" Wildkat grapple. I had it configured for the JD quick disconnect FEL and hydraulic connections for my set up. Yes it does have grease zirks on the moving parts. It will take a week or so to arrive on the west coast.

And...my Wildkat arrived today and on the tractor. It didn't come with the same style hydraulic quick couplers so I am headed to the parts store tomorrow to get what I need. It looks to be quite the piece of equipment

Oh baby, got it all installed and does it ever work great. Been picking rocks and lots of brush and debris for a couple of hours. Many hours more to go over the winter. The 48" is plenty for my 4520 60 HP CUT.

If it came with the flat face couplers, you can do what I did with all mine. I found a skid steer operator and sold then to him. The skid steers use the flat face couplers. that is why they are on equipment originally made for skid steers.

Have fun with it. I know I did.
