Rear Blade for a John Deere 5075E

That's interesting about those little issues you've had with your 5075. I'm about to take delivery of my new 5075 either late this week or early next week. I've read a few posts on TBN just this past week about some issues with the current line of 5000E series tractors... gulp. I'm glad that the dealer got you all fixed up, though.

I read this thread in detail before deciding to buy a 5075E of my own. One question I had is that you have three cylinders on your rear blade, but it looks like you only have two rear remotes. How does that work?

I'm not super familiar with hydrostatics yet, it's just something I noticed in a pic.

Thanks!

Its pretty simple on the blade - I ordered it with just 2 cylinders to save money. I knew I needed tilt and angle, but saw no reason to pay that much extra for an offset cylinder. The tractor comes with just one rear remote, so I ordered it with one dealer-installed one for a total of 2. I think all of my troubles with the brakes relate to that rear SCV, and they have tried several times to get it right and haven't yet. I don't think I'll ever buy another tractor with a dealer installed SCV. It must be beyond their ability to do it right. When they delivered the tractor, they attached a blade that came with 3 cylinders. The guy had it on the yard and wanted to move it, so he gave it to me for the same price. I guess I oughta take the extra cylinder off and put it in storage out of the weather, but its still on there. I simply don't hook it up.

Here's what my brakes still do, and JD says they are "in specs."

Sheesh! That's "in spec"?! You almost have to lower your seat down to extend your legs far enough! :D

I ordered mine with 2 rear SCVs, too, and the dealer is supposed to be putting the 2nd on on as I type this.

I will certainly let you (and the TBN Forum) know if I have any issues with it. Fingers crossed!

Eco, did you get the new tractor yet? How do you like it if you did?

I got it Wednesday night, yes! :cool2:

Today was the first day I got to really USE it. I spent a little over an hour shredding about 2-3 acres for a friend of mine. I REALLY love the tractor. The size and power upgrade from my 5103 is really substantial. Trailering it was a lot different, though. That's for sure.

But the PowrReverser / 540E PTO is worth every. single. penny. Running the machine at 1700 rpm with my MX6 was so nice. A lot quieter, less engine heat, fuel burn, etc. Here's a quick pic of my efforts today...

Glad to hear you got it and are happy with it! I've heard the model with the power reverser was made in the USA. Is this correct?

I have not heard that. Where did you hear that?

My S/N plate says "Assembled in India".

A JD dealer told me that last year. He said the JD people told him that in a dealer's meeting; that the 2013 models with PR and wet clutch would be made in USA. Maybe it just hasn't happened yet.
