Anybody running a Frontier 1072R 3pt finish mower? How do they perform? Looking to get one for my JD 3520.

What would be a fair price for a good used one?

Thanks

I don't have the frontier version but the Woods RD7200 which is the same. And I run it behind my Bobcat CT235. It's a super great mower! Just keep it greased and blades sharpened. It's very well built the deck is heavy and makes a great ballast. I once hit a broken off t post and it didn't phase the mower. I got mine off of Craigslist as an older fellow bought it new used once and didn't like it as His ags tore up the lawn. He was asking 1,000. I bought it sight unseen, when I went to pick it up, it was just like he said, Paint even on the blades. All I had to do to it is set it up for my Imatch hitch

Thanks for your reply Catdozer. How well does the rear discharge dispurse the clippings? I found one private owned guy is asking 1,000. He bought it used. It looks like its in really good shape but not like the one you were able to get.

No windrows at all. It's perfectly even. If you go too slow in taller grass it seems to get more on the one side but really spreads it all out. I looked close to 2 months before I got mine. Most we're junk or just priced high. Pull the covers to check the pulleys and tension of the belt. It never hurts

I have one too that i bought this spring. Paid more than catdozer but mine is also in great condition, used maybe one season or two from the looks of it. I run it behind my Ford 2000 which seems to handle it just fine. I also looked at many abused mowers on CL and elsewhere and was tempted by a couple by their low price. I'm glad I held our for this mower, it will last me many years.

Could someone tell me the socket size for blade bolts?

Also do you remove counterclockwise?

Thanks

Turned out to be 1 1/8 inch.

Sorry, the GM1072R I have has 2 bolts/nuts per blade and a 3/4 wrench is needed to get them off. Here is a picture of what mower looks like. I have also included the part page from JD.

I looked at the manuals that I supplied and the manual for 5WPMAN0242 it is a single bolt, which is bigger.
