Ok, now that's funny...

On a serious note, are we more concerned with proper grammar, or good advice? Because, I'll tell ya straight up, I've read most of the posts by soundguy, and he's usually right on target with his advice. Soundguy, I say usually, not 'cause I doubt you, but because I don't have the kinda time it would take to read ALL of your posts. From what I see, you'll help anyone who cares to listen...

I enjoy Soundguy's posts also...I want more of them not less.

Good advice, of course. But we do have to understand what the post is about...and that can be difficult with bad grammar or other errors.

I know Soundguy's advice is good to excellent. Sometimes his responses sent from a cell phone can be tough to read...and I know, from personal experience, that one may not realize how difficult it can be to read the post until after it is sent.
I don't use my cell phone at all for TBN, and even the little e-mail I may respond to get very short messages (such as "I'll respond to your msg when I get home").

Fair enough, point taken... I just didn't want anyone to bust his balls for responding before he got to a 'computer' vs using his cell phone. I think we're on the same page... Oh, and not for nothing, I really get a kick outta the dry humor in some of your posts. I joined TBN because of reading some of your posts, you da man.

Soon as my shaft gets lengthened...I'll check it out!
(That sounded really weird)

Yeah, bet you get some PMs on that one!!

Now I am way the **** off topic!

Look at the manual and see if it lists it as a brushless generator. Just curious as to whether it is or is not. Sounds like you got a great deal when considering free shipping. How long is the PTO shaft? Looks like the frame would work with a quick hitch too.

If you look at the Q&A section in Rural Kings website it states it is brushless.

Yes the funny thing is that the RK generator and gear box looks just like the HF unit that I purchased a mont or so back. Mine is the brushed type generator. I even asked RK again on their web site if it was Brushless design and they responded that it was brushless. Maybe they have updated their design of maybe when inspected it will have brushes. You can see if it is brushless or not by removing the 4 screw that hold the NDE(Non Drive End) black cover on the generator. Either way they are a good value.

They could be mistaken and I am 100% positive it is the same as HF's generator. I'll pull the cover off tomorrow and have a look see.

I pulled the trigger today on the Voltmaster. I made my decision based off the fact that I wanted to support an American company since they are made in the US. Both where pretty comparable in price and capability except that I don't get the pto shaft and the carrier. I wanted to build my own carrier anyway and if the PTO shafts come to short, well it doesn't matter if it is free if I can't use it. I'll post pictures after I get it all mounted up.

I don't think anything is "Made in America" anymore except deadbeats and welfare recipients.

Take a few pics of the end with the cover off if you get a chance. I looked at mine and it seemed to be well built with sealed bearings. I do have brushs though.
