What did people do before TBN to solve these problems?

pretty common to have the oil check sump level on that type of gearbox BELOW the input shaft seal.

as the gear spins it will distribute oil..e tc..

Regarding the wiring that comes off of the brushes at the end of the shaft...

Could those possible be associated with the 12V DC, 8.3A outlet located on the outlet panel? Just an after thought. Sorry to beat this dead horse.

Not only did they tap the threads at an angle and nearly strip them...they placed the plate upside down! Those Chinese slave labor kids...

The wires to the brushes are to provide exitation voltage to the rotor coil and the voltage comes from the AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator).

How do these voltmaster generators stack up against the winco units? Are they made in america? I'm hoping to stay away from a Chinese made unit
