Voltmaster PTO generator

Considering the relatively little use a generator will get, I'd suggest a PTO extender fro Agri-Supply. They add 4" or 5" to the length of the tractor's PTO stub shaft which would be adequate for an implement that is stationary when in use.

I thought of that also...really...really.

I set the lower arm pins to there shortest setting so although I think the extender will work in my case...they really shouldn't send such a short pto shaft. What did they save, $1 in steel costs?

Sdkubota, could you tell me the distance from the floor to the pto shaft on the generator and the full extended length of the pto shaft?

Thanks man

One other thing I noticed is that your new control board doesn't have a toggle switch that goes between 120 and 240 volt. Either I'm missing it or they have changed/ upgraded the controls from other HF/RK models?

Unless you're using a QH or Pat's Easy Change, I would think it would fit too. Although the extender will help, I suggest you explain your problem (with the pictures you attached here) to the seller. They may be able and willing to correct the problem.

Sound Guy types some of his replies on a smartphone...like some others of us (me, for example), we'll all thumbs.

You know, before he explained about the cell phone replies, I used to think he was just in the midst of getting drunk. Of course, some of my posts are typed in the midst of getting drunk...so who am I to complain!!!???

Ok, now that's funny...

On a serious note, are we more concerned with proper grammar, or good advice? Because, I'll tell ya straight up, I've read most of the posts by soundguy, and he's usually right on target with his advice. Soundguy, I say usually, not 'cause I doubt you, but because I don't have the kinda time it would take to read ALL of your posts. From what I see, you'll help anyone who cares to listen...

Good advice, of course. But we do have to understand what the post is about...and that can be difficult with bad grammar or other errors.

I know Soundguy's advice is good to excellent. Sometimes his responses sent from a cell phone can be tough to read...and I know, from personal experience, that one may not realize how difficult it can be to read the post until after it is sent.
I don't use my cell phone at all for TBN, and even the little e-mail I may respond to get very short messages (such as "I'll respond to your msg when I get home").

I wasn't kidding when I wrote my thoughts on Soundguy getting drunk...(hope he doesn't take offense!). That was a couple, three years ago and I was still consuming hard liquor. My first thoughts were "his posts are perfeckt!!!" Then I sobered up...

I'm getting off topic...let's get back to the PTO generator.

19.5" from floor to center of PTO shaft.

I never noticed but from the photo and the owner's manual it no longer exists. Not sure how the meter works with both 120/240V being fed at the same time. Soon as my shaft gets lengthened...I'll check it out!
(That sounded really weird)
