Hello everyone, John here... I just picked up a jd 310 because as the fellow went into a pile, it just stopped moving..... No fwd or rev.... 3 cyl runs well, and all works well.... Anyone have any ideas?... I got it delivered last night .... I used the diff lock to eliminate a broken axle... Thank you

Might wan't to clarify whether this is the ag tractor or backhoe/loader you have.

How about a broken clutch disc? Try changing gears with the engine running without stepping on the clutch. If you can shift probably bad clutch.

I can't believe it!!! I picked up this 310 backhoe for 2500 because it didn't move ... Engine runs and hyd strong,... No fwd or rev.... I checked fluid and crawled under... It was a cotter pin missing from the linkage bar that goes into or near what I believe to be called the reverser.... Thank you everyone for your input!,,,

Awesome deal. Gotta love it. I have a 310A. Rebuilt the injector pump last year. Good machine but could use more hyd power. I guess I could adjust the valves?
