Hi Y'all,

Here's a set I quite like:

But I just can't afford them at around US$2800.

It's for a Euro-hitch FEL with around 2200Lbs lifting capacity to full height at the pins. I like that the forks can be adjusted to suit pallets or bag handles or pushed out wider when carrying logs, and that the forks aren't just hanging without any way of locking them in place to stop them swinging when trying to point the tips down when trying to move or get under logs or bite down on a pile of brush.

The grab has a nice action that pulls logs in (the high, forward pivot point), and it also has a nice wide opening for when these are used to grab or pile brush. The support for the pivot point probably starts projecting forward a little lower than I would have liked b/c I fear it may impede the snug loading of logs that are bigger or many smaller ones as they won't come up snug against the back of the pallet forks, instead pivoting a little on the projecting pivot support.

Have you travelled this road before and have any advice for me please? I'm useless at welding, but Dad is very good. Steel here makes such a build almost as dear and hardly worth it though, and I suspect some of the geometry would be a bit of guess work for us.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Regards,
Tony
