I am trying to decide among two new Grader - Scraper attachments. One is Woods GS72C weighing in at 655 lbs with 5 shanks. The other is BEFCO model BGS-072 which weighs 703 lbs and has 6 shanks. I have other Woods equipment and have been happy with their functionality and durability. The BEFCO appears to be sturdier but I have never owned BEFCO -- or had to purchase parts for one. The quoted prices are practically the same and both are 6 feet in width.

Have to say that the Befco unit looks better built and weight is your friend when it comes to grading.

Not sure what you got for quotes but I got the BEFCO for about $500 less than the best price I could find on the Woods. The Land Pride was close in price but I was told that the shanks were optional and brought the price up to the same as the Woods. So far I've been very happy with my BEFCO grading scraper.

Weight is important in this application, recommend befco for that reason. Extra shank also will make it work better for you.
