After tilling with the new LP2072, amazing, now I'm on the the hunt for a row bedder. I've not used one before but they seem fairly easy to use. I've tilled down to 7 inches. Is that deep enough for a bedder? Any recommendations on a good manufacturer?

Thanks

I would hope so, 7 in is plenty deep, but I guess it depends on the bedder.
Is there a particular bedder model(s) that you've been looking at?

I don't have any experience with bedder companies. I'm looking for a recommendation on a brand(s). What I'm looking for is something I can make at least 18" wide rows but would like something that is adjustable on width and height. I'd like not to buy bottom of the line. I like to only buy something once if possible.

Thanks

I am still working out the kinks myself but I bought a buckeye combo bedder/ layer. I know of buckeye, rain flo, nolt's , reddick, holland, bison, and kennco.I got the buckeye because of adjustments. They offer more flexibility for doing what you want. That comes with a price of most assembly required. Mike and his father are very helpful with assisting you with what you need.
I was very close to getting the rain flo 2400? Mini layer. At times I wish I had because it is half the price of the one I have. I think once I get it down I will be glad I got the buckeye.
Buckeyes can be used by smaller tractors and do the same size beds. They don't just bulldoze the dirt in the pan, furrow wings and shaping discs lead it in.
Kennco has a new family farm line that looks real good. I was unable to talk with anyone at Kennco so I went on and bought the buckeye. I think Kennco and buckeye are the only two that offer bedders only. They also make all kind of handy stuff for specialty growers.
My setup is a Mahindra 5010, buckeye combo #2212d, 6" high bed, 34" bed top
I believe any of them will do the job if the ground is right. I have some pics in another post here and a bunch on reyer farms Facebook page.
Good luck
