    Default Landscaperake

Still looking for a decent landscape rake to help clean the under story beneath a 7 acre stand of pines that have been neglected. I've hogged most of it and want to rake it of debris to start saving the straw. Is this a suitable tool? Northern tool has a $50 off coupon today and they also sell howse and hawkline i believe.
    Thanks

Our cedars are too low to allow any implement under. your branches need to be pretty high up to get underneath with any implement.

I have an 8ft rake and love it. Use it for all sorts of things. I will say, though, that these rakes do a lot of damage on grass and that. They really till up the dirt (they are not like a lawn rake).

    Hope the info helps.

I've got plenty of room under the pines. They are 35 feet tall. Just wondering if this will work for dragging out all the limbs, cones etc. To get the floor clean so I can pick up the new clean straw as it falls. Thanks.

I have had the same rake for about 10 years now and use it to keep my wife's mile of walking trails clear on 30+ acres of pine forest. Yes, it will clean out branches and cones. It will also harvest pine straw when the area is clean. I do it most every year. I have bent my rake by backing into a tree in a tight area. Operator error. After bending we heated and pounded back into shape then reenforced. If you do dirt work with it or gravel drive work the gauge wheels make a huge difference. Looks like a good price to me. There are heavier and better rakes out there for more money but for what you want to do and what I do I would buy it again.
