Tiller New KK Proffessional TIller review

Just recieved my new tiller. It appears to well built, good welds, good bracing. Paint is the usual KK issue.
But it appears to be tough, it runs smooth and gobbles up even hard ground. Only thing is it doesn't till as deep as some but tillers are not really meant as primary tillage tools anyway. I think for the money, it is the best deal around and I looked at everything I could find including Howard, Landpride and the likes, remember I said for the money, and let me add for the casual user!!!!!

Don't forget to check for fluid levels in both gearboxes, remove instructions from under the "tailgate", and adjust the slip-clutch so it slips when overloaded. What size did you get?

Good choice! I have a 3 year old version what looks exactly like the pro series its a 72" KK 2. I have no idea what they did beside a different sticker I couldn't see anything different but yes they work very well for the money!

edit: I set mine on the lowest setting on the shoes and it tills pretty deep probably 7-8" as a guess? considering the tine shaft would be the limiting factor that is about as deep as these will go.

Good advice there. KK equipment is shipped without fluids, some dealers fill them, some don't.

What does the " professional " model have the run of the mill machine doesn't ? I bought a new 6' model last year for $1200.00 that seems to work just fine. The more times you go over the dirt the deeper it will go so no problem with depth. Yes extra paint piled on but the new painter has to learn sometime. I like the gear drive better than the chain version.

Grease? really? I think that is a terrible idea, oil bath is many times better than grease in a gearbox.

I'll have to agree. My 48" bushog wil till about 2 inches deeper than my BIL's 72" King KutterII. So far (knocking on wood here), I've had no problems with the chain drive on my Bush Hog tiller, but I do steer people towards gear drive for larger tillers. Although the KK doesn't appear to till as deep.........the plants will still grow just fine, and most don't have my mechanical capabilities...............just in case that's necessary.

I believe the professional one is quick hitch compatible. Also, the top of the deck looks like it's enclosed & rounded off, so it won't collect soil, leaves, etc.

I bought the 5 foot model. I like it so far!
