Tractor Supply Disappointment!!

There are several TSC stores nearby (two within 10 miles). Each one of the five that I have purchased items from seems to operate differently. They are more like a franchise operation than a chain store. Apparently the store managers have a lot of control (good or bad) about how their store deals with customers.

I have always had good luck with them,I have gotten some stuff on what you might call junk price.I dont care for some of the staff, but thats life.

It does seem to be store-related as to good/bad stores. I live just about in the center between the store in Ocala and the store in Palatka. It seems as though I rarely can get what I need or order from the Ocala store, yet the Palatka store will always mention they will order it and then contacts me when the stuff gets in.

Hey Murphy, No. To be honest with ya, I kinda forgot about it as I haven't had a time without something attached to it. My son did give me a super heavy duty solid black rubber bungee cord he uses to keep his 18 wheeler hoses out of the way, but the only time I've used that was to hold the top link up while I changed out 3 pt implements.

That is kind of dissapointing, At my local store I have had fairly good dealings.

I was "bartering" with the manager over an air compressor that- as it sat on the shelf as display, had a crack in the bottom of the crankcase. no oil had been put in it so it was "clean". I was confident I could fix it with "jb weld". I low balled it and he said to wait and he would check with the receiving manager to see what the "break even" price was. Ended up paying $50.00, not too much more than my offer.

Some times i don't undrstand why they put things on "clearance" at the price they do. Once, a row of walk behind mowers and a swisher trimmer marked at $50.00.....now I have a swisher walk behind.

To the OP: Maybe try to find out who the receiving manager is and work through them on one of the ugly sprayers?

I've had mixed results at TSC also. Just depends. I once wanted a to buy a wider furrow blade for my middle buster. They had to order it and were going to charge me shipping to the store for me to pick up. The total was going to be over $70! I ended up telling them "no thanks" and ordered one on line from Ag supply. It was $14 + $10 shipping to my door. Talk about mark-up! It pays to shop around. They are the best price around for Grade 8 nuts and bolts though.;)

My local TSC has a few item that local F&R stores don't have. But with 2 major independent competing F&R stores they don't stand a chance on prices.

The closest store to me buys wholesale by the truck load. His indoor and outdoor covers about 10 ac and he's expanding, He sells to other F&R stores. people drive for a 100 miles around to get his volume pricing

He beat out home depot and lowes by $200 on sewer pipe.
A 3pt. fimco sprayer w/wand could be bought at the end of the season for $899 till he ran out.
He has nearly everything then some.
