John Deere 4520
Looking at buying a John Deere 4520 with a 448 backhoe. I am wanting to put a top and tilit kit on it along with an iMatch hitch. Does anyone have any advice on what brand of top and tilt to buy, and what is the best quick hitch to buy. Also looking for a back hydraulic blade if anyone knows of one. Thanks

I would recommend Fit Rite Hydraulics for your topntilt kit, and a Deere IMatch early style with welded top hook. Mountainviewranch a member here owns Fit Rite and can also be very helpful with the rearblade recommendations. Here's a link fitrite.com.

I have a 4520cab with topntilt and IMatch works very well for me.

does the BH have a sub frame? does that interfere with all that hanging off the 3pt arms in terms of extra hydrualics for the TNT and the Imatch kit attached to the 3pt....

The BH attaches to plates bolted to the tractor, the 3pt hitch and TNT cylinders are removed so the rockshaft arms can lift the BH onto the plates. Takes about 5 minutes to remove the TNT and 3 pt. hitch on my 3320 and maybe another 5 to get the BH on and hydraulics hooked up. The BH plates won't interfere with the JD TNT cylinders or hydraulics when they are in use and I would assume it wouldn't be an issue with other cylinders either.

Typical complete Top & Tilt kit for your JD 4520 tractor would run you $585 + shipping costs. That is 2 1/2" dia cylinders with 1 1/2" dia rods, 4 hoses with QD ends and 2 flow restrictors.

As far as a great hydraulic rear blade, I highly recommend one of these. I am hoping to get the RBT3584 for my smaller tractor. Already have it's BIG brother, an RBT45108. It is one of the BEST implements that I have, and I have a lot of implements. ;)

Contact me if you are interested.

Just curious, is the 2 1/2" dia. the inside bore or is it the outside dia of the cylinder?

Murphy1244, thanks for answering for me.

Eric102, a "TnT" set for your 3320 would get built with 2" dia cylinders and 1 1/4" dia rods. Cost would be $530 + shipping costs. ;)

Thanks MtnViewRanch and Murphy1244. I already have the JD TNT but was just curious how it compared to the recommended sizes from other suppliers. I don't know the inside dia of the JD cylinders but the OD is 3 3/4" and the shafts are a little over 1 1/2" at 1.6". Sounds like mine are way overkill for my size tractor but it was the JD recommended kit for the 3320.
