I have been looking at grapples for a bit. Following your thread it seems like you have a really nice one. I talked to an individual at ANRO today and he told me that he recommended the same one you got which is what I had previously decided was the correct size but wanted independent input from the folks that build them. (The guy actually grew up very close to where I am at and knows the local dealers from when he lived here.)

My question to you is: What other grapples did you look at and what was your decision process that got you to the model that you bought? There are obviously less expensive grapples available but you decided that it was worth the money to get the GR-S. Why?

Thanks

I sent a PM to you as to not start any grapple wars. I looked at around 6 or more brands and both types of grapples. I' am under the school of thought to do as much research as possible and buy right the first time.

Kytractor,
Congrats on your purchase and thanks for the pics! I've also never been held back by the width of the grapple, you can even still dig! :D

It just needs the 400 pound guy in the seat with the 300 pound wife stand on the 3PH as someone posted in the last year or two. :)

How much more does that set up weigh than the OEM front bucket?

Yeah but tell her you just need another 100 lbs and she will climb on.

That's an awesome looking grapple !! Thanks for sharing the info ... One of these will likely be the first new implement I purchase when my L5740 comes in, sure will save a LOT of backaches...

After your quick attach FEL, pallet forks get used as much as anything, IMHO;) Ah get both.

It's funny, I have both the grapple, and QA forks, and I almost never use the forks. I had them on one time within the last year (probably more).

My grapple is what tends to live on the FEL but the bucket, forks, bale spear and PHD are gotta haves when I need them.
