Tractor
Kubota Grand L 5740, loaded R1's w/640 lbs cast weight, 854 loader
I'm so proud. My little tractor snatched this plow off the ground like nobodies business. Honestly, even though I know what the tractor is supposed to lift, I was worried about that. These pictures show the rollover mechanism, the cylinder is missing. I'll get one this weekend.
They also show the holes that are used to move the bottoms to change the size of the plow. It is current at it's largest, 18 inches and I am going to move it to it's smallest cut of 14 inches.
give me time to set it up and it will look good behind the tractor. The angle of the plow will not be as severe, remember this plow is set up for deep plowing with big bottoms. Also when I change the angle for 14 inch bottoms and move the bottoms on the frame, they will be in the proper location behind the tires. I can't wait to get started. Only problem is I have to finish my heater project in my barn before I can play with my, er I mean work on my plow.

What model tractor is it hooked to? And does it pull good when it's plowing with that plow? I have a three row bottom plow and wasn't sure my tractor could handle it.

do you have a FEL? if not your going to want to stack the front end with as much weight as possible. Kubota are lightweights and I wouldn't be surprised to find its a challenge for your 50hp.

btw is it hydrualics to flip it?

Hooked to a Grand L5740 with a loader. weighs almost 7000 with Rimguard and the plow rolls with a 3x8 hydraulic cylinder that I will get this weekend. I don't think I'll have any problem with it as long as I don't try to plow up China.

Looks good:thumbsup: Now get that heater fixed so you have a warm place to work on the plow.:)

Cool. That is one cool plow. Very interested in how it turns out. I absolutely love the art of plowing. I have never used one like that but I must now find one. Be following your progress! Thanks for posting.

Very cool plow. Don't think you will have any problem plowing behind the 5740, especially at 14". Post some more pics when you get it fixed up and in the ground.

that looks like a very versatile plow since you can adjust the bottom spacing. Let us know how it works behind the 5740. I'm curious as i have access to a 3 bottom but wasn't sure my 5240 would handle it.
