Kubota Grand L 5740, loaded R1's w/640 lbs cast weight, 854 loader
Picture of the tractor and plow all mounted up and two pics of the little dab I plowed just feeling it out. Right side of the plowing ( I started on the left) is beginning to look better. I stopped a few times and made adjustments to the plow.
Now all I need is new shins, shares and landslides. It didn't want to take the ground at first, a combination of dry ground and worn out shares but I finally got her to dig in. All mounted up.JPGPlowing 1.JPGplowing 2.jpg

These will be the last pictures for awhile. Some how or another, I busted my camera right after I took these photos

:thumbsup:I thought that land looked familiar. My late brother lived in Anton. Sister-in-law and family still do. Nice looking job.

Anton Texas. Know the place well. :) Too well as a matter of fact. Spent the first year of my working life in the oil fields of Anton. I burned out, froze out, blew out, drowned out and nearly checked out that year, the summer of 1970 to the spring of 1971.
Broke me from ever wanting to work in the oil field.

Where's all the rocks? My land would have a pile of rocks kicked up after bottom plowing!

You may not believe this but I have dug over 9 feet on this farm and never hit rock or caliche. :D good old west texas sandy loam. works real good as long as it's not in the air. ;)

Looks like you got the plow set up just fine. Understanding what needs to be done is 95% of it. The other 5% is actually getting it adjusted correctly.

A Top & Tilt kit would really make the fine tuning a breeze. Don't know how I did without one.

Rebuilding the shares, shins, and landslides will make it look pretty. Can't say my Ford 101 plowed THAT differently after being rebuilt. Those old plows just seem to work even when they look worn out.
