Kubota L3240HST
I'm looking to purchase a good box blade for my L3240 with R4 tires Ballasted.
I've been looking at the Everything attachments lines and for used heavier blades as well.
All the advice I have gotten is to buy the heaviest blade possible.
I've found this one and the owner doesn't know what kind it is but said it weighed ~900 pounds and was very HD.
Can anyone identify this box and let me know what kind and if my tractor would be a good match.
Also what would be a fair price for this blade.

Thanks,

That thing looks to be made well ! It has manual scarfiers and a hindge back plate. How wide is it ? 900 lbs of just BB I think might be to much for your tractor, however weight could be wrong as stated by current owner.
Don't know brand but judgeing by looks of vintage, design and color. It could be a Gannon,Landpride,Gearmore, or a Digmore made years ago in California I believe. If priced rite I would jump all over that whether I needed it or not but thats just me.

I'd want it wide enough to cover your rear wheel tracks, so 6' minimum?
Looks plenty tough - hope it works out for you.

Pretty much what Bullbreaker said, your manual should have the recommended weight for a bb on your tractor and I believe it will be under 900, but as mentioned who knows for sure what it weighs. I use a little heavier by about 200 pounds box scraper than recommended on our L5740 and it works well for us, we just use it a little less aggressively than on the M8540.

Different opinions on widths, I like one that at least covers the tracks; wish I could help with price, but I honestly don't know.

The blade is 6'.
What would be a fair price for something like this?
Can seem to find a recommend weight for my tractor, only a lift capacity for the 3 pt.

How does this relate to the size(weight) box blade?
3-Point Hitch:
Rear Type: I
Rear lift (at ends): 3,750 lbs [1701 kg]
Rear lift (at 24"/610mm): 2,650 lbs [1202 kg]

I think it will work fine for you with loaded tires.

If the blades are good and the scarifier mechanism works, I'd say $500 would be okay. $400-$450 would be better.

Yeah agree $400/$450 would be better. I'd tell -em I was going to have to sand blast it and re-paint it and offer $300 and see/hear their reaction and hope they don't read or go on TBN. Show -em cash and pretend like your walking away, even worked for me when I asked my wife too marry me.

I use a 1000lbs 84 " HD blade on my TLB 110, with unloaded tires. The tractor can get dragged down if the box gets full and I am cutting deep. I would not change my setup I like the weight for the grading, I just control the amount I am taking off when grading. I would buy the blade if it is wider than your tractor and the price is good for you.

Not sure what or why everyone thinks that this BB should go for so cheap. That is an easy $2000 implement if bought new. What I see is that it only needs to be cleaned up and painted. $50 in paint and a days labor at most. Sandblast if you want, so another $50 in sand. To me, anything under $800 would be a steal. But that may just be me, I never expect to get a killer deal on anything. ;)

Just look at the price of an equivalent new blade. If it is all there and solid why would it be worth less ? Only worn cutting edges maybe and paint which like brian said is not much. You are lucky to find one. I've been looking for a good used one locally for a while and they seem to be rare around here,
