Backhoe 1973 Case 580b problems

Bought a 73 case 580b backhoe power shuttle a couple months ago to clear my house lot. I named her lousie leaks because everythings loose and she leaks, but gets the job done! She's leaking dielsel from the fuel enjector pump were the throttle lever is. Is their a gasket there? My next problem is the other day she started smoking so I turn her off. Some how the fan chewed up the radaitor. I found a used one on ebay for $295 off a case 530ck model 32. The seller post says it should fit a 580b , but to check. Any one no if this will work or were I can get a used one at a fair price.

Look under cooling system - apparently you found a good price if it's usable. Also, if your fan chewed up the radiator you may wanna price water pumps at the same time.

Not sure what's in the diesel injector pump, my 580b hasn't given me THAT particular pleasure yet -

Hydraulics - some connections are NPT, those will need to be doped and tightened and then NOT disturbed. Rest of the machine's mostly JIC connectors. I've found that you can lessen any leaks with a Scotchbrite pad and some elbow grease and snugging them up.

Cylinder kits are available here, good price/no directions at all, so make sure you pay attention when dis-assembling.

The inner gland seals go in easier if you warm them in hydraulic oil first, then kind of "tie them in a knot" with a pair of duckbill pliers with NO SHARP EDGES - once they're in the slot, you can straighten them out and they'll behave themselves in the inside groove of the gland nut.
