"Just wanted to report that my 66" Wicked Grapple was delivered last Thursday and I am impressed! Solid as a tank. Carried it to the farm, detached the loader bucket and had it in operation in 5 min. I have 140 acres that has just been logged and the crew left the roads in a real mess, this grapple is going to save me some backbreaking work. Started in Friday and worked 3 days moving tree tops out of the way, this tool is awesome, I have a Kubota MX5100 and LA844 loader, the grapple will easily pick up a 40 foot tree top, 20 inch logs, stumps, whatever in reason I asked of it. Focused on the main camp it would pile all there pallets, cans and junk and just pick it up right out of the way, then smooth over the area in combo with my box blade. Pulled, yanked, pushed and lifted for three days. Well it isn't pretty anymore, few scratches but it is not bent, dulled or broken. Great job on this new design."

I just took these pics of some Wicked Grapples that we're preparing to ship. We have enough to catch up most open orders before yesterday except for a couple with JD hitches.

You should suggest to your customers wringing their hands until the grapple arrives to get started on plumbing hydraulics to the front if they haven't already. Then they can hit the ground running, like David above. My plumbing took longer than expected (no plastic zip ties allowed) so the grapple collected dust for awhile.

How does EA paint these?

I usually try to speak to customers about the tractor's hydraulic capabilities when talking grapples so they can have a plan.
We use the finest US steel that, prior to painting, gets a bath in some pretty expensive chemicals for prep and then it is sprayed with a high quality paint inside our paint booth. You can check out the webcams at our factory to see for yourself.

We just received some more feedback on a Wicked grapple to be used on yet another MX5100 Kubota. Greg posted this on another thread here and said I could use it as a review on our site.

"I have looked at several brands and decided on the 72" Wicked Grapple from EA. It arrived last week and man the pictures do not do it justice. The teeth are sharp and should hold the brush/logs tight, and built in USA!
It is one mean grapple, built tougher than most and much lighter than all. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but hopefully I will be able to this weekend.

Here is some more feedback from Greg in TX after he got a chance to use his Wicked Grapple. He posted this on a couple more threads here on TBN but I thought i'd share it for those of you following this one.

"I purchased a EA 72" Wicked Grapple recently and have had a chance to use it for about 20 hours now.

I can't speak for other grapples because I have not used any of them but I will give a short review of the EA Wicked Grapple.

I went on EA's web site and decided on the Wicked Grapple based on the fact that it appears to be well engineered, light weight, strong and two independent jaws. EA's customer support is outstanding and suggested the 72" unit for my tractor.

A few days later my grapple arrived by truck, upon inspection I observed that this thing was a serious piece of equipment. It is built much stronger than I thought, and well engineered as expected from EA. As advertised those teeth are sharp and should cut though roots and grip logs well.


I hooked up the grapple on to my Kubota MX5100 and started learning how to use it. I am in the process of cleaning up large piles of logs, lumber and junk that the previously renter so nicely left for me to clean up. Anyway, after a few hours I was getting the hang of it and have stacked several large burn piles.

The grapple worked flawlessly, no problems and due to the lighter weight I was able to left more than I thought.

I then began using the grapple to dig around the base of a couple of trees that needed to be removed and pushed them over. Then I just picked them up, put them on the burn piles and then scrape up the debris and some roots.

Those sharp teeth really cut though the roots and really dug into the logs holding them firmly. The two closing lids really came in handy for those odd shaped logs, stumps and even some concrete steps.

Since putting the grapple on my tractor I have not had it off, even when mowing the field I use it to warn me of large hidden objects in the tall grass.

Lastly, I want to give EA a big Thank You for building a great grapple, great customer service, fair price and free shipping. I would highly recommend this grapple, I would buy again if I needed to.

I still see no 48". I love my 48". You should think about that more, methinks... Looks cool otherwise.

A 48" single lid Wicked Grapple is on the way!! Ted is working on it now and says pics should be posted in around a week.

I was just outside taking a picture for a customer and spotted a batch of Wicked Grapples that are being prepared for shipping on a rainy day here in NC. Thought I'd share.

I also posted this on another thread, but i'm putting it here for more exposure and opinions.
Ted is working on the design of the single lid grapple. He is running into an issue with the JD hitch on a 48" because of where it needs to attach on the grapple. His question to you guys is: Would you be fine with a lighter, single lid 54" or is that additional 6 inches going to be a problem? His thinking is that the lighter weight is the key and the single lid will also bring the cost down. This would be 270 pounds and still keep a high grade of steel for durability. In reality, a 48" is not going to be any cheaper to build and will cause a bit of a headache in engineering.
Your opinions are appreciated.
