An Officer and a Gentleman is a great movie too, but they didn't so much as utter the phrase that I can recall.

Yeah I'm sure I have mingled the two. Both good movies involving a charismatic drill instructor in a supporting role.

But R. Lee Ermy was an actual Vietnam era DI.

Yep, heard that first time in USAF Basic training in 1967. Wasn't invented for movies?

Made a late night trip by the freight dock on the way home for the airport...should have taken a trailer.

Got 9 hours on the tractor today with a mix of the bucket and grapple. Did manage to get most of the paint off the bottom half of it by the end of the day :D

I heard it before 1967, from my ex DI father. He said it during wwII. I am betting it is a lot older than that.

Now I know this is a tractor forum but there are some things we just have to be right about so as not to offend the female gender.... They are "tatas" :D

Very Nice! Time to get some dirt on it. :D

OK - Still not able to get out to property, but was able to do some work around the house today.

Piled up some cut limbs and grubbed out a few yaupons. Grapple backblades nicely as well.
