Everything Attachments Customer Service
Hi all,
Back in October I ordered a 7 foot "Landscape Rake 2.0" from Everything Attachments. My first use was to prepare a section of a field that had been used to grow soybeans so that I could plant grass. I needed to remove the soybean debris and move a little dirt around to smooth the area. The new "v2.0" Everything Attachments Landscape Rake looked to be the most heavy duty Landscape Rake I could find.
I use my three point implements with a Speeco Quick Hitch. For me the Quick Hitch is much easier to use than shoving the three point arms around trying to line them up to a particular implement. I was pleased to see the Everything Attachments Landscape Rake was "Quick hitch & I-match compatible".
It seems most Landscape Rakes from any manufacturer imply that they can be used forward or backward in that they usually say something like "8 Forward and 8 Reverse settings". I think the reverse settings are nice for light smoothing tasks and this is a desirable feature. What many of the manufacturers of Landscape Rakes don't mention is how you're supposed to swing the rake through 180 degrees to utilize the reverse settings.
I was disappointed to find that the 7 foot Everything Attachments Landscape Rake and the Speeco Quick Hitch interfered with each other such that the rake couldn't be adjusted to the reverse settings without removing it from the tractor, picking it up from the rake's lifting ring with a chain to the loader, adjusting the rake, setting it back down and hooking it back up to the three point. I should mention that it *can* be adjusted through 180 degrees to the reverse settings without removing it from the tractor if you're *not* using a Quick Hitch. It's tight but it works.
I contacted Everything Attachments to ask about this problem. After a little back and forth Everything Attachments agreed that it was not possible to adjust the rake to the reverse settings without removing it from the tractor and they offered to take it back. I told them that I had researched this pretty throughly before purchase and, while I thought it should be able to work this way, I wasn't certain that any manufacturer's 7 foot landscape rake could do this. I told them I'd keep it but if they redesigned the rake to correct this I'd like the opportunity to receive the new part.
In my research I found that some less expensive landscape rakes have such a short piece extending from the three point hitch towards the rear that the rake contacts the rear tires before it even gets close to the hitch. Several other manufacturer's rakes would have the same interference problem with a Quick Hitch that Everything Attachments' rake had. I don't know of any manufacturer's 7 foot rake that can be adjusted through 180 degrees without removing it from the tractor but I'm sure someone here will correct me.
Anyway, fast forward to a couple weeks ago and I receive a mail from Everything Attachments telling me they've redesigned the part and would I like to receive it? I put it together today and it works perfectly.
There are four pictures/movies included below:
- Before with interference from the outside
- Before with interference from the inside
- After without interference from the outside
- A movie
As you can see they changed the design of the swinging part of the rake from an "S" to a "U" shape allowing it to clear the Quick Hitch. I'm very satisfied with their initial offer to take the rake back and their follow up offering the revised part after they changed the design.
I know this sounds a little contrived after the box blade thread but it's my experience.

Re: Everything Attachments Customer Service
I have the same problem with my rear/back blade. It's annoying that I can't turn it around but I live with it. Nice that they offered the redsign part. That's great. Nice to hear good outcomes sometimes. Mine was not from EA. Happy new years.

Re: Everything Attachments Customer Service
nothing like a happy ending to start off the new year...
I'm about to buy my first rear blade, with Tnt already installed on the Kubota,
and knowing what to be careful of, like clearance and range of motion, is a big help.
Good going EA.

Kudos for Everything Attachments, and good write up.
However one can order the off set back blade and shift it out of the way for the 180 swing.J.J.
